What makes Esthecin so unique is the application of an innovative liposomal technology.

Literally speaking, liposomes are tiny sacs of fat with walls made from a double layer of phospholipids (fatty acids). These sacs can hold ingredients and transport them to the hair follicles. The ingredients can be held within the sac itself or between the double layer of fatty acids. Follicle cell walls are also constructed from similar phospholipids. A number of reactions take place when the liposomes reach these cells. Because the liposome walls are similar to the cell walls, they fuse together like two soap bubbles. When this happens, the ingredients inside the fat sac are released into the cell. As an added benefit, the phospholipids strengthen the follicle cell walls.
